The effort included a combination of financial donations, in-kind logistics services and volunteerism in honor of U.S. service members past and present. As highlighted in this new video, Crowley supported the creation and end-to-end delivery of 6,500 wreaths for headstones in Puerto Rico. Crowley’s contributions increased by eight-fold the number of wreaths placed on veterans’ headstones on the island, which the company has served for more than six decades. Crowley’s support culminated in wreaths being laid Saturday, Dec. 14, in national cemeteries in Bayamón in Puerto Rico, Jacksonville (Fla.) and other locations around the country where veterans are interred.  More than 100 employees and their friends and families volunteered to transport, stage and place the remembrance wreaths. “We are proud we could do our small part to honor our U.S. veterans who gave and sacrificed for our country’s security,” said Tom Crowley, company chairman and CEO. “Helping provide the logistics services, resources and volunteers to support Puerto Rico was our honor.” The company also donated $30,000 combined from its [Crowley Solutions business unit](http://www.crowley.com/industries-we-serve/government-and-military/overview/) that provides government services and its [Crowley Cares Foundation](http://www.crowley.com/crowley-cares/crowley-cares-foundation/) ](https://dfts.crowley.com/news/video-crowley-supports-veterans-with-wreaths-across-america) [government](https://dfts.crowley.com/news/topic/government) [dfts](https://dfts.crowley.com/news/topic/dfts) [department of defense](https://dfts.crowley.com/news/topic/department-of-defense) [carrier](https://dfts.crowley.com/news/topic/carrier) [![](https://dfts.crowley.com/hubfs/Crowley-Carrier-Video-email-art-rev.jpg) ## Video: Thank You Carrier Partners for Outstanding Performance in 2019 With the holiday season upon us, Crowley extends its sincerest thanks to our carrier partners for all the great work done in 2019 in support of Crowley and our U.S. warfighters. Crowley, in partnership with its outstanding carrier partners, has exceeded the expectations the U.S. Transportation Command in the execution of the Defense Freight Transportation Services (DFTS) contract, handling some 1,800 moves per day with a 98 percent on time pickup and delivery. “Your commitment to safely and efficiently delivering materiel to our armed forces, on time and in full, has taken us to another level – not only nationally but overseas,” said Tom Crowley, company chairman and CEO. “But don’t take my word for it. Here are some Crowley team members from across the U.S who also want to extend their appreciation in this season of thanks.” [government](https://dfts.crowley.com/news/topic/government) [dfts](https://dfts.crowley.com/news/topic/dfts) [department of defense](https://dfts.crowley.com/news/topic/department-of-defense) [carrier](https://dfts.crowley.com/news/topic/carrier) ](https://dfts.crowley.com/news/crowley-thanks-its-carrier-partners-for-outstanding-performance-in-2019) [![](https://dfts.crowley.com/hubfs/_Corporate%20Communications/_Images/_Blog%20Images/DFTS-Jerome-Noris.png) ## Crowley Supports Small Business Growth and Success in Transportation Management Services for U.S. Warfighters   A key factor in Crowley’s successful support of U.S. warfighters under the federal Defense Freight Transportation Services (DFTS) contract is building successful partnerships with small businesses. By working together, Crowley and those businesses leverage and maximize transportation management services for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD).
